ABOUT MAYA

Welcome Sorors, I'm Life Member Maya Paggett Williams and I am seeking the honor of serving as Basileus of our beloved chapter. I’m a proud member of the Alpha Alpha Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., a servant leader, and a Soror who believes deeply in the power of organized, intentional, and mission-driven sisterhood.

I joined Sigma Gamma Rho with a desire to serve, grow, and be part of something larger than myself. Over the years, this sisterhood has shaped my leadership style, strengthened my confidence, and deepened my commitment to community impact. Through service on committees and in leadership roles, I have gained firsthand experience in operations, finance, communications, and program execution. These experiences  have prepared me to lead with both heart and structure.

Professionally, I bring over a decade of experience in accounting, finance, and data analysis, and I currently serve as a Senior Accountant while pursuing a master’s degree in Data Analytics and Visualization. My professional background has equipped me with strong skills in financial management, process improvement, documentation, and data-informed decision-making. With these tools I will continue to apply to strengthen chapter operations and transparency.

I am running for Basileus because I believe our chapter deserves leadership that listens, systems that work, and programs with measurable impact. WOW with Williams is my commitment to lead with Wisdom, Organization, and Winning Solutions, while centering collaboration, accountability, and respect.

This chapter is home to me. It is a place where leaders are developed, friendships are built, and lives are changed through service. It would be the honor of my life to serve as your Basileus and work alongside you to build a stronger, smarter, and more connected chapter.

In Sisterhood,
